 DAY
01 ARRIVAL
Arrive at Yangon Airport, after clearing customs and immigration
formalities welcome by our guide and transfer to the Hotel.
Evening visit to SHWEDAGON Pagoda, one of the world’s most
spectacular religious monuments.
Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
DAY 02 YANGON - MANDALAY
(by Night Train)
After Breakfast, sightseeing tour in Yangon includes, visit to the
gilded SULE Pagoda marking the city centre, dating back over 2,500
years; see the old and quite impressive buildings surrounding
Mahabandoola Park; admire octagonal BOTATAUNG Pagoda near Yangon
River; pass famous strand road; stroll through a narrow street of
China Town including a short visit to a Tao Temple.
Return back to Hotel for checkout and transfer to Yangon Railways
Station to take a Night Train to Mandalay.
Overnight on the train.
DAY
03 MANDALAY
Arrive Mandalay and transfer to Hotel for check-in. Sightseeing
tour in Mandalay including MAHAMUNI Pagoda, with its spectacular
Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, SHWE INBIN,
one of the most outstanding monasteries in the country, SHWE NAN
DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE Monastery, a superb example of a
traditional wooden building, KUTHODAW Pagoda, known as the World
Biggest Book for its 729 stone slabs of Buddhist Scriptures.
A visit is also made to a jetty to observe daily life at the river
and to a craftsmen’s workshop to see Kalaga tapestries being
created. Then visit to MANDALAY Hill, advantage-point for
panoramic view of the city.

04 AMARAPURA - INNWA (AVA) - SAGAING
After breakfast, excursion by road to ancient capital of
AMARAPURA, 15 kilometers south of Mandalay, visit MAHAGANDAYON
Monastery; a famous Buddhist Monastery, where more than a thousand
monks live and study, continue to 1.2 Km long 200 years old U BEIN
Bridge, built of huge teak logs salvaged form AVA Royal Palace.
Visit BAGAYA Monastery, with a superb collection of Buddha
statues. Then excursion to the former Royal Capital of INNWA
(AVA), tour highlights with horse cart to MAHA AUNGMYE BONZAN
Monastery, ruins of ancient AVA, WATCH Tower, fort walls and brick
causeway. Return to Sagaing. Afternoon, drive over 1 kilometer
long bridge across the AYEYARWADDY River to SAGAING Hills, with
numerous pagodas and monasteries and a retreat for Buddhist
devotees for sunset. Return to Mandalay.

DAY
05 EXCURSION TO PYIN OO LWIN
After breakfast, drive (80 km - 2 hours) on a scenic route to the
cool hill station of PYIN OO LWIN (MAYMYO), with its lovely lake
and waterfalls, botanical garden and colonial buildings.
Visit to PEIK CHIN MYAUNG Caves, since ancient times a Buddhist
shrine and proceed to PWE KAUK Waterfalls, a favorite picnic spot
for local people.
Return back to Mandalay and overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.
DAY 06 MANDALAY – BAGAN
(BY FERRY BOAT)
After breakfast, early start of boat journey on the AYEYARWADDY
River to BAGAN. This downriver trip takes about 8 hours (depending
on river condition, it might take longer). On arrival, transfer to
Hotel.
Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

07 BAGAN
After Breakfast, stroll through the colorful local market continue
the day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of
Bagan including SHWEZIGON Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the
early 11th century as a religious shrine; KU BYAUK GYI, a temple
with superb murals of Jataka scenes; KHAY MIN GA Temple, noted for
its panoramic view of the area’s numerous monuments and ANANDA
Temple, with four standing Buddha images.
Afternoon, visit one of Myanmar’s most treasured handicrafts, a
lacquerware craftsmen’s workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. You
will continue to MANUHA Temple, built in the Mon-style in 1059 and
follow on to NANBAYA Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to
have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will explore the
MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI Temple, a temple noteworthy for its mural
paintings under the protection of UNESCO. Proceed to BUPAYA Pagoda
or MINGALAZEDI Stupa to watch the sunset over the famous
Ayeyarwaddy River.

DAY 08 BAGAN
After breakfast, visit the site of TAYOKEPYAY Temple in Min Nan
Thu Village, PAYA THONE ZU and NANDAMANYA Temple noted for
exquisite murals of 13th century and KYAT KAN CAVE Monastery, a
famous meditation center in Bagan. Visit farming villages around
Bagan.
Afternoon, an excursion to the nostalgic NAT HTAUNG KYAUNG, a
wooden monastery built in 1781 by a group of monks, famous for
woodcarvings, a collection of ancient Buddha statues and lacquer
boxes.

DAY
09 BAGAN - MT. POPA – KALAW (BY CAR)
After early breakfast, a 300 km drive (8 hours) will take you to
Kalaw. En route you will visit MOUNT POPA, an extinct volcano with
spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits
known as “nats” and you will have time to climb the 777 steps to
the shrine at the top of the peak.
After lunch at simple local restaurant en route, the journey
continues on a narrow, winding and bumpy road through the Shan
Hills. In the late afternoon you will reach KALAW, a fresh and
delightful hill station, on the rim of the Shan Plateau, which is
a market center for ethnic minorities from surrounding regions.

DAY 10 KALAW - PINDAYA - INLE LAKE
After Breakfast, drive to PINDAYA (48 km - 1 1/2 hours) to the
small quiet town of PINDAYA, where sight-seeing highlights include
the PINDAYA Caves, unique for the thousands of Buddha images
placed there by pilgrims over many centuries.
Proceed by road to NYAUNG SHWE (95 km - 2 1/2 hrs). Arrive and
transfer to Hotel for check-in.

DAY 11 INLE LAKE
After Breakfast, an excursion by boat on Inle Lake (about 4 hrs),
to see the Intha-fishermen rowing with their legs, Pagoda on
artificial islands in the lake, floating gardens and floating
market (on market’s day only), continue to PHAUNG DAW OO Pagoda,
one of the main principle shrines in Myanmar and dating back to
the 18th century; the NGA PHE KYAUNG Monastery, famous for its
jumping cats trained by monks and the weaving village of
INPAWKHON.

DAY 12 NYAUNG SHWE -
HEHO – YANGON (BY EVENING FLIGHT)
After breakfast, excursion by boat to the Western Shore of Inle
Lake to visit the INN THEIN Pagoda complex, found after following
a stair path lined up with magnificent columns.
After Lunch, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to
YANGON. Arrive in Yangon and transfer to Hotel.
Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
DAY 13 DEPARTURE
Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure flight.
