Introducing to
myanmar
Myanmar is a wonderful country which is full
of ancient religious monuments, various scenic beauties and
 different
national races. Myanmar is the name which represent all
different national races who live together in it. The British
called Burma which represent only, the biggest national group
"Bamar".It lies east of India and Bangladesh, Southwest of China
and west of Thailand and Laos.It stretches 2090 Kilometers from
north to south and 925 Kilometers from east to west at its
widest points. It is the largest country in mainland Southeast
Asia with a total land area of 676,577 square Kilometers.
Myanmar is twice the size of Vietnam and
approximately the size of France and Great Britain combined.
With a population of some 48 millions,
Myanmar is a union of many different ethntic groups, 135 of
them, each with its own langauges and traditions. The majority,
about 68% of the population are Bamars with other major groups
including, Karens, Chins, Kachins, Shans, Kayars, Mons and
Rakhines. Over 85% of the people are Buddhist and deeply devout.
The people have still preserved traditional
cultures and activities. They also keep and appreciate high
value of family system including the respect for elders and with
deep faith on religion.
The smiles of Myanmar people last long in the
visitor's memory and become the major attraction and attachment
to it's people, may be the smiles through which we come to know
better each other. Festival of each month for the year round
seem like giving an opportunity to visitors to understand the
generosity, hospitalities and friendliness of Myanmar people.
