 DAY
01 ARRIVE YANGON
Arrive at Yangon Airport, after clearing customs and immigration
formalities welcome by our guide and transfer to the Hotel for
check-in.
Afternoon visit to CHAUKHTATGYI, a huge reclining Buddha Image;
KARAWEIK Hall, a ‘hamsa-bird-shaped’ floating barge on Kandawgyi
(Royal Lake); an extended visit to one of the world’s most
spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON Pagoda.
The tour continue to Visit SULE Pagoda, dating back over 2,500
years ago; continue to BOTAHTAUNG Pagoda beside the river and
visit Yangon's oldest Chinese Tao Temple.

DAY 02 YANGON – PYAY
(CAR)
After breakfast, drive (286 km - 7 hrs) to PYAY. Pyay is situated
near the ancient capital of SRI KSETRA, where extensive
archaeological excavations have taken place. Arrive in Pyay and
check-in hotel.
Sightseeing tour in PYAY, PHAYAGYI, PAYAMA, SHWE BON THA MUNI
Pagoda, and SHWESANDAW Pagoda; one of the most venerated pagoda in
Myanmar.
Overnight at Hotel in Pyay.
DAY 03 PYAY – BAGAN
(CAR)
After early breakfast, drive (350 km - 9 hrs) to BAGAN. Several
stops along the road for tea or coffee and exploring local
markets, Cattle Market (Magwe). Lunch at Yenangyaung.
Then continue to Bagan, sunset on arrival.

04 BAGAN
After breakfast, morning sight-seeing, After a stroll through the
colorful local market continue the day with visits to the most
significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including SHWEZIGON
Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a
religious shrine; KU BYAUK GYI, a temple with superb murals of
Jataka scenes; KHAY MIN GA Temple, noted for its panoramic view of
the area’s numerous monuments and ANANDA Temple, with four
standing Buddha images.
Afternoon, visit one of Myanmar’s most treasured handicrafts, a
lacquerware craftsmen’s workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. You
will continue to MANUHA Temple, built in the Mon-style in 1059 and
follow on to NANBAYA Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to
have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will explore the
MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI Temple, a temple noteworthy for its mural
paintings under the protection of UNESCO. Proceed to BUPAYA Pagoda
or MINGALAZEDI Stupa to watch the sunset over the famous
Ayeyarwaddy River.

DAY 05 BAGAN – MANDALAY (BY CAR)
After early breakfast, a 300 km drive (7 hrs) will take you to
MANDALAY, through varied agricultural landscapes and small
villages.
Arrive Mandalay in the evening and transfer to Hotel. Evening
visit to SHWE INBIN, one of the most outstanding monasteries in
the country, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY, a
superb example of a traditional wooden building, KUTHODAW Pagoda,
known as the World Biggest Book for its 729 stone slabs of
Buddhist Scriptures. Then visit to MANDALAY Hill, advantage-point
for panoramic view of the city.

DAY
06 AMARAPURA - MANDALAY - YANGON (BY EVENING FLIGHT)
After breakfast, drive to AMARAPURA, 15 km from Mandalay. Visit
MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a
thousand monks live and study; continue to 200-years-old U BEIN
teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the
royal capital.
Before returning to Mandalay, stopping at a traditional hand-woven
silk workshop en route.
Afternoon, proceed on a comprehensive sight-seeing tour including
MAHAMUNI Pagoda, with its spectacular Buddha image covered with
thick layers of gold leaves. Evening transfer to airport for
domestic flight back to Yangon. Arrive and transfer to Hotel.

DAY 07 DEPARTURE
Morning visit to BOGYOKE AUNG SAN (Scott) Market, with time to
browse among the hundreds of stalls for souvenir bargains.
Transfer to Yangon International Airport for Departure Flight. |
