TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TOURS
AND SERVICES
RATES AND FARES:
The prices of the tours are guaranteed, but if unforeseen
circumstances beyond Oriental Comet Travel Co., Ltd.
control occurred, i.e. increased government taxes or airfares
etc..,
Oriental Comet Travel Co., Ltd. will adjust the price
accordingly.
Rates are exclusive of:
- Yangon International Airport or Mandalay
International Airport Tax of USD 10
- International Flight tickets
- Myanmar Visa Fee
- Tips and drinks
- Other personal expenses such as telephone
calls, laundry service, etc.
Child Rates (under 12 years old)
- 60% of adult's rate for without bed but
breakfast, sharing with two adults.
- 75% of adult's rate with extra bed, sharing
with two adults.
Child Rates (under 2 years old)
COMPLIMENTARY POLICY:
The 16 th member of group will be complimentary on Half
Twin Basis subject to maximum limit of three members.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT
POLICY:
Full payment by bank remittance must be received at
least 3 weeks before the commencement of tour services to our
bank account.
In some cases deposit is required if the Hotel and other request
deposit for secured booking.
RESERVATION FEES:
If hotel reservations or air tickets ONLY are required, US$ 15
reservation fee per booking will be charged.
PROGRAMME CHANGES:
All Oriental Comet Travels tour itineraries are prearranged and,
in the case of standard group tour plans, no programme changes
or modifications can be made Oriental Comet Travels reserves the
right to rearrange the order of any tour itinerary, to cancel or
substitute elements of any tour plan, without notice, when local
conditions requires such changes. All itineraries are subject to
change depending on confirmed flights.
CANCELLATIONS:
For cancellations received by Oriental Comet Travel Co., Ltd.
the following cancellation policy will apply in addition to any
other fees charged by relevant hotel, or other supplier:
For Tour Packages:
- 60 days or more prior to departure, a service fees $75
per person will apply
- 59 to 30 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of
50% of the tour cost will apply.
- 29 to 15 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of
75% of the tour cost will apply.
- 14 days or less prior to departure, a cancellation fee
of 100% of the tour cost will apply.
For Hotels only:
• 30 Days Prior - No cancellation charges
• 8-29 Days - One night cancellation fee
• Less than 8 Days or No show - Full charges
REFUND:
After commencement of travel, no refund in full or in part will
be given for services included in the programme and not utilized
by the clients.
LAND
ARRANGEMENTS:
The Tour Operator reserves the right to change the itinerary due
to unforeseen circumstances. In all cases, Oriental
Comet Travel Co., Ltd. will do its best to maintain the
content of the tour. The Tour operator reserves the right to
change the hotels listed on the tour for others of similar
quality.
LIABILITY:
Oriental Comet Travels acts
as intermediary between the concerned airlines, hotels,
transport operators and local tourist offices providing the
services.
Oriental Comet Travels is
therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage
sustained by the tourist, including those occurring outside the
touring programmes. Additional expense incurred due to delay,
accidents, natural disaster, political actions and unrest must
be borne by the tourist programmes. Prices services and
conditions are based on those valid at the time of printing and
are therefore subject to change without advance notice before or
during the tour. Participation in our tour implies the tourist
agreement to the above conditions.
PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITY:
Passenger has read the above terms and conditions and agrees to
each of them. Passengers hereby warrant that they fully
understand each of them.Specifically passenger understands that
should he/she cancel their trip for any reason, passenger will
be charged the cancellation fee set out in the ' Cancellations &
Refunds' section.
VISA, PASSPORT AND
DOCUMENTATION:
A Valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the
nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in
abroad. All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost
average of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months
beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar. Pre-arranged
Visa on Arrival could be arranged by Oriental Comet & take 14
working days to get the approval. Once we get the approval, we
will send the copy by fax to clients as well as to the airline
ground office to able for the client to get boarding pass. The
visa fee is USD 20 and our service charge is USD5 per person.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months following
your entry date to your travel destination.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the
passenger's responsibility to verify whether his/her local
health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling
inside of the Myanmar. Please contract your insurance carrier
for details.
Oriental Comet Travel Co., Ltd.
strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel
insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour; including
the loss of deposits through cancellation, lost of baggage and
personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be
signed if insurance is declined.
ENTIRE
AGREEMENT SEVERABILITY:
This is the entire agreement of the parties and it may be
amended only by written agreement signed by both Oriental Comet
Travel Co., Ltd. and the client. If any part of this agreement
is held unenforceable by a court of law, the rest of this
agreement will nevertheless remain in force and effect.
